Stop feeling stuck. Start feeling whole.

Feeling stagnant in life—especially if you’ve already tried talk therapy—can be incredibly frustrating.

It’s like you're treading water while trying to move forward—something keeps holding you back. Right now, you might feel trapped in a cycle of emotions you don’t fully understand. When those same memories pop up time and time again and bring feelings of sadness, anger, or grief, they can be overwhelming and make everyday life seem heavier. You wish these feelings would just go away, but it seems impossible to move past them on your own—no matter how much you try to use logic to “outthink” them.

Brainspotting is a type of somatic (AKA body-focused) therapy that can help you reprocess and release those deep-seated feelings to find healing. Through this process, you won’t just learn to manage your emotions, but truly understand them in a way that will make a lasting difference in your life. Change is possible, even if it doesn’t feel like it right now, and it’s important to recognize that wanting to move forward is a big step in itself.

How it works

Guiding you on the path to relief.

When we begin our work, we’ll spend time talking about what’s brought you in and decide together whether Brainspotting is the right approach for you. If we agree it is, I’ll be sure to give you all the information you’ll need about the process before we start.

In our Brainspotting sessions, you might bring a specific memory, situation, or feeling you'd like to explore. We'll start by gauging how intense that memory or sensation feels for you and where in your body you notice it. Using a pointer, we'll find the spot in your visual field that feels most connected to this sensation. Then, you'll gently focus on the pointer and let your thoughts and feelings flow naturally, whether you choose to share them out loud or process them quietly. Throughout the session, you'll rate the intensity of your experience so we can keep track of your progress.

There's no right or wrong way to do this work.

Brainspotting can be a flexible and personalized experience, often enhanced with tools like goggles or bilateral music to deepen the process. It can also be easily combined with other approaches like EMDR, CBT, parts work, art therapy, and traditional talk therapy. This versatility allows me to tailor your sessions to meet your unique needs, ensuring the work we’re doing is supportive and effective. Together, we’ll discover what works best for you as we go along.

Some clients find relief more quickly than they have through traditional talk therapy alone, often noticing subtle shifts in how they react to situations over time. I, myself, have done this work and experienced just how life-changing the results can be.

Brainspotting can help you unlock the parts of yourself you’ve been missing.
